Improve your computer's performance by clearing your browser's cache, cookies, and history

Deleting stored data, such as cache and cookies, can resolve problems with site loading or display.

As you use your browser, it accumulates a large amount of information such as the websites you visit, your passwords, browsing history, and any downloaded data. This accumulation can slow down your computer over time. To keep your computer running smoothly, it is important to clear your browser's cache, cookies, and history regularly. This not only frees up space on your PC, but also protects your personal information and improves performance by eliminating unnecessary data.

What are cookies, cache, and history?

You may have come across pop-ups asking you to accept cookies while visiting websites. These cookies are files created by the websites you visit and they help to identify and track your browsing activity. They make your online experience more convenient by storing information as you browse or return to a site.
The browser cache stores certain elements of a webpage, such as images, to speed up the loading process when the page is revisited.
Your browsing history is a record of the websites you have visited. To maintain privacy, you can clear your history which will help protect your personal information.

Let's examine the steps for clearing your browser's cache, cookies, and browsing history.

To clear your browser cache on Google Chrome -

first, open Chrome on your PC and click on the three-dot button in the upper right corner. Next, select More Tools and then Clear Browsing Data. Make sure to select all the boxes, including browsing history, download history, cookies, and other site data. You can also go to Basic Settings to re-check and choose a specific time range for clearing your cache. Finally, click on the Clear data button to delete your cache.

To clear your browser cache on Safari, go to the top menu and select History > Clear History. Then select the time period you want to clear and click on Clear History. This will delete all your browsing history and cache.

To clear your browser cache on Mozilla Firefox, click on the hamburger menu at the top right corner. Then select Privacy and Security from the left panel. Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data and check the box that says Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed. Finally, click on Clear Data to delete your cache.

Although it may be inconvenient to log back into sites after clearing your browser's cache, cookies, and history, the boost in computer performance makes it worth the extra effort.

AI in Healthcare: Transforming Genetic Research and Beyond

Introduction Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing various sectors, and healthcare is no exception. One of the most promising applications of AI in healthcare is its role in genetic research, particularly in predicting and understanding protein structures. A breakthrough in this domain came with Google DeepMind’s AlphaFold, an AI system that accurately predicts 3D protein structures from amino acid sequences. This achievement has immense implications for diagnosing genetic disorders, identifying potential treatments, and advancing precision medicine. The significance of AI’s role in genetic research was highlighted when Sir Demis Hassabis and Dr. John Jumper were co-awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their contributions to AlphaFold. This blog explores the applications of AI in healthcare, focusing on genetic research, disease prediction, and personalized medicine. What is the program to find that the given number is prime number or not in C language?

A prime number is a natural number greater than 1 that has no positive divisors other than 1 and itself. In C++, we can write a program to check whether a given number is prime or not. The program to find if a given number is prime or not in C++ can be written in several ways. Here, we will discuss two different approaches to write this program. Approach 1: Using a for loop In this approach, we will use a for loop to check if the given number is divisible by any number between 2 and n/2. If the number is divisible by any number in this range, then it is not a prime number. Otherwise, it is a prime number. Here is the code for the same: #include <iostream> using namespace std; int main() { int n, i; bool isPrime = true; cout << "Enter a positive integer: "; cin >> n; for (i = 2; i <= n / 2; ++i) { if (n % i == 0) { isPrime = false; break; } } if (isPrime) cout << n <...
